LT Alumni Networking Event: Choose Your Own Conversation

  • Leadership Tomorrow 1301 5th Ave, Suite 1500 Seattle, WA 98101 United States (map)

Connect with the LT community around a topic or issue that matters to you. In small breakout rooms, participate in meaningful conversations about an issue you suggested or an issue posed by another participant. Here are a few examples of issues that have been suggested for discussion:

  • How are you moving your organization forward to address racism? How are you evolving to become more of an antiracist organization?

  • How do we proceed with reconciliation discussions and reparations for Blacks?

  • How do we eliminate the opportunity gap in K-12 public schools?

  • If you are looking for work, how are you managing the transition between jobs during COVID times?

  • Your question or topic (you must submit your question or topic by December 11, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.)

Event Agenda:

  • 12:00 p.m. Welcome and review of discussion norms

  • 12:10 p.m. Join your discussion group

  • 12:50 p.m. Everyone rejoins the main room for a quick debrief

Process: When you register, you will have the option to pose a potential discussion topic (it’s not required to suggest a topic). On Friday, December 11, you will receive a survey asking you to pick your first, second, and third choices for discussion. We will use survey results to create discussion groups.

When you attend the event, you will be pre-assigned to a discussion group based on your survey responses. If you suggest a topic when registering and at least two other people want to join this conversation, you will lead the conversation. If fewer than two people indicate interest in this topic, you may join another discussion.
