Challenge Day Reflections: Basic Needs, LT'22
Historic structural racism has long been a factor in the ability for communities to thrive and its community members to have their basic needs met. How do we transcend the existing paradigm and progress to a place where community members have control of their future and the ability to build neighborhoods and communities where all needs are met? What role will you play?
These are the questions we explored during our Basic Needs Challenge Day. Check out our Challenge Day Reflections for highlights and resources from the day. New this year, we are incorporating reflections from LT’22 class members in each of these write-ups. In this write-up, Zaki Hamid, Sumona Patel, and Rosella Picado share how the day impacted their leadership and what calls to action they were inspired by.
Many thanks to HomeStreet Bank for their sponsorship of this day!
